Der Folder sowie die Übersichtskarte kann auch im Gemeindeamt zu den Öffnungszeiten kostenlos abgeholt werden.

In a few days, the year 2025 will be history. A few days before the most important holiday of the year, time seems to pass faster than usual. The last purchases for the festive season are being made, the perfect Christmas tree is still being sought, and gifts are to be wrapped. In today's time, sticking to a weekly schedule is a challenge. This commercialization, which is handled by us with skepticism, also needs to be considered. The first traces of Christmas date back to 19,000 years ago, with the spread of the Christmas tree among European peoples, starting with the small gift of nuts.

At the beginning of 2025, Burgenland held elections for the Burgenland Landtag. In our community, turnout was significantly higher than the statewide average of 82%. The year 2025 saw our community grappling with a challenging financial situation, exacerbated by a diminishing budget by early summer. Despite this, several small projects were implemented. The year 2024 will be marked by stringent budget cuts.

The community decided to increase the waste collection fee to EUR 0.30/liter, effective January 1, 2026, at EUR 1,400. Energy subsidies for PV installations and heat pumps will be extended until January 1, 2026. Cooperation agreements for childcare in the mountains were extended for 2026/2027.

The municipality council unanimously approved a subsidy for the maintenance of the heating in the Pfarheim. Subvention Pfarre Schützen am Gebirge. The council approved the subsidy of EUR 3,000.00 for the renovation of the heating in the Pfarheim.

The action targets households with low income, ORF contribution exemption, or social aid. The house with heating must be 50% in own ownership. Important: The registration for the subsidy must be done by December 31, 2025. For assistance with registration, contact your municipality or the energy advisor in Burgenland. Blitz schlug Loch in Autodach

Die Feuerwehr Schützen am Gebirge wurde am Sonntag zu einem Fahrzeugbrand auf der B50 alarmiert. Dort stellte sich heraus, dass der Pkw von einem Blitz getroffen wurde. Durch den Einschlag entstand ein Loch im Dach, die Elektronik wurde beschädigt und der Wagen damit lahmgelegt. Durch einen ausgelösten Airbag wurde der Lenker leicht an der Hand verletzt.
