In silent sorrow, we say goodbye to Frau Margareta Janisch, who passed on February 5, 2026, after a brief, severe illness, in the 71st year of life. The soul mass will be held on March 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Sigle parish church. The burial will take place in the closest family circle. Rest in peace! Franz with family Werner On behalf of all relatives.

Gemeinsam mit den Gemeindevertretern wurde nach der Rückkehr bei einem gemeinsamen Mittagessen gefeiert.

Job description: The WLV GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of the Wasserleitungsverband Nordburgenland, is seeking a full-time Building Manager (m/w/d) for a 38.5-hour workweek. The workplace is in Eisenstadt. Tasks include planning, coordination, and management of all construction activities, including procurement of necessary permits and approvals, project management, cost and budget control, and quality assurance. Other duties include maintaining and optimizing tools, reporting, and strategic development.

Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), also known as bird flu or bird grippe, is a notifiable bird disease caused by influenza viruses and characterized by high contagiousness. Poultry, ducks, geese, and other birds are particularly at risk. In 2025, HPAI was detected in wild birds in Austria, leading to outbreaks in domestic birds and zoos. The virus is also transmissible to mammals and humans (zoonotic), emphasizing the importance of biosecurity measures.

Das Gasthaus Budschedl in Walbersdorf ist beliebter Treffpunkt im Ort. Wirtin Eva Budschedl bewirtet ihre Gäste mit unermüdlicher Begeisterung und der Unterstützung ihres Mannes Johann - und das mit 95 Jahren. Wirtschaftskammerpräsident Mst. Andreas Wirth gratulierte der engagierten Wirtin zum Geburtstag sehr herzlich.
