Successful start of the influenza vaccination: So far, one million influenza vaccinations have been given. The flu vaccination season 2025/26 has started successfully. The data from the Austrian vaccination program show that the number of influenza vaccine entries has exceeded the level of the previous season. Overall, this year, with around 180,000 vaccinations, we are above the previous year's result. This development shows that the flu vaccination is well accepted by the population.

The Austrian Health Insurance (OGK) is sending out around 300,000 invitations for preventive examinations to individuals insured with OGK, including those who have not yet had a check-up. All Austrians over 18 have the opportunity for a comprehensive preventive examination once a year. OGK Chief Physician Dr. Andreas Krauter encourages taking advantage of the offer and investing in one's health.
